Lying to the Police
My question involves criminal law for the state of il my girl friend got into an auto accedent and didnt have a license she left the seceen and i told the officers i was driving there were witnesses there that stated i wasnt the driver the cops new i was lieing and my girlfriend came back to the scene and admitted to driving i got slapped with a ticket for letting here drive and opstructing a police officer what can happen to me i didnt sign and papers to the fact i was driving it was all verable

Do you have a court date? Is it being charged as a misdemeanor or a felony?
Illinois has mandatory minimum sentencing for people convicted of obstructing or resisting a police officer. You're going to want to get an attorney, and quickly. You're looking at mandatory jail time if you're convicted.
