My question involves criminal law for the state of: Georgia
My boyfriend at the time we had got into an arguement and he did push me. My child was present and so was my cousin. He got charged with domestic battery, cruelty to children and theft by taking *he took my cell phone* I went to his house and i actually may have made things worse because i was angry. this was a yr ago.. now he has a court date set. will i have to go?...and would happen if i did not want to attend if i had to? what kind of punishment might he receive? is there a way i could retract my statement? we are friends now...not together anymore and this is making it hard to remain friends with a child involved. Please give me some insight!!
