Now Now you all be nice. Panther is a good guy, he just does not have any compassion for criminals, honestly, I dont either.
I avoid answering posts on here that have to do with DRUG CRIMES and most other types of crimes.
It is best to have the attitude that. IF YOU HAVE NOTHING GOOD TO SAY , THEN DONT SAY IT.
I stick to more consumer related questions these days to keep me out of trouble on here:rolleyes:
And BE, I am not talking about a drunk driving problem. I am talking about planned shop lifting (planned robbery) or whatever they call it these days.
OK time for me to shut up before I say something that will get me into trouble:cool:

Re: What Do You Do for a Living?
Panther's wife has been inactive for 11 days as well (on another forum) ... and my e-mail to him and to his wife just bounced, too. I had thought they were on vacation, but now ... I don't know.
There were some things going on, but nothing that should have made them drop off the planet.
I'm trying to find the link to his website ...

I stopped getting emails from him a few weeks ago. I have his Roadrunner email address. I just tried again to email him and again it bounced. I have a strange gut feeling.
I have his home phone number too, but I wont use it unless all else fails

Well, both he and his wife dropped off the edge of the Earth at about the same time ... there were some things going on at home, but nothing that would have indicated this ... kinda sudden to lose your e-mail.
You might consider the phone call.

Re: What Do You Do for a Living?
I just tried to call on the phone to Panther
"THE NUMBER YOU ARE CALLING IS NOT IN SERVICE, PLEASE CHECK THE NUMBER AND CALL AGAIN"
This is all very odd indeed. I mean there could be a thousand reasons why this is going on. I just hope they are both ok, They have young children as well. He sent me pictures of himself, his wife and the children at a Disney Vacation.

Re: What Do You Do for a Living?
Well, I hope he and his family are okay. Whoever finds out, please post for the group on the status. My concern is with the mental instabilty of the exwife (not giving away anything, he has posted on this several times), you just never know.

Re: What Do You Do for a Living?
Well I know that two people are working on locating him now.
Everything is just shut down, the emails, and the phone.
He is in Calif, I am in Texas, we are all spread out very far, its not like we can jump in a car and drive over there and knock on the door.
If anyone has any comments please post the.
-
Re: What Do You Do for a Living?
California's a big place - I'm here, too, but I can't just hop in a car and drive 6-8 hours to his home (and I only know the county he lives in) even if I had the available time.

Well, one of them kidlets moved out ...
But, some good news, I heard from a mutual friend that Panther had transferred his ISP and/or phone service and that the new installation was taking longer than anticipated. Apparently he and his wife are fine, they are just off-line for a bit.

After what he did to me I call it JUST DESERTS!!!!! And that IS being nice.........I thought the first call he made "anonymously" was just being harrassing.....the second to my boss's boss was definitely being a hater.....the third and repeated ones to my CORPORATE bosses was without-a-doubt some sort of mission to ruin me! HE WAS NOT SUCCESSFUL!
All of the 'call-ees' eventually told his obsessively deluded butt to cease and desist!
SO! If he perchance has dropped off the face of the earth?????????????
THE PARTY'S AT MY PLACE ON 11/1!!!!!!!!!! I'm not bustin' out the bubbly til at least the 30-day mark..............

Re: What Do You Do for a Living?
I was on a criminal justice list way back when they were kinda new (1994 or thereabouts) and recall a guy who worked for the Vermont Dept. of Corrections who was an avid "restorative justice" supporter. He made it his mission to try and torpedo everyone who dared to disagree with him by diming them off to their employers for using computers on company time, holding themselves out as employees of the agency and expressing these opinions on behalf of the agency, etc. Because of him, that list lost several good contributors including a law professor from West Point, and a number of professionals from other government agencies. Also as a result, I removed my agency from my sig line and made it a practice of never saying where I worked.
Now, I have to say that I have been tempted to call and report people I have seen post to these forums, but I also know how easy it is to adopt a specific facade and to tell complete and total fabrications. So, what I might think is the truth may well be bravado and puffery, so unless the contributor is confessing to some extremely dangerous behavior, I don't even consider it.
(And, yes, I have been asked quite a number of times on this and other lists to see what I could find out about someone or something and I always have to turn them down if that info requires me to seek it from a source that only law enforcement can access.)
In any event, I am not going to get in the midst of whatever beef you have with Panther, he's a big boy and can handle himself. But, it does illustrate that one should always be careful as to what they say and what claims they make. I think that there may be ... two (maybe three) people on this list that no where I live and work ... and I work to keep it limited in that way. So, if someone gets miffed at me, they can't go running to my Chief and complain (not that it would matter much since I'm not violating policy or law, and I'm well-placed in my organization, but it could be an annoyance).

How's about just "whom are you addressing" as the person in question will still be the object of the question without making the grammar goofy. /slap.

Blueeagle, Ashman165 and Souperdave should all kiss and makeup. Maybe I can sell tickets to the event? :p
This is they type of site where we should all rally together and have a good time. Fighting between us is NOT what we should be doing.
Honestly since I have joined this site I have had a great online relationship with everyone. (senior members). AND I have NOT had a fallout with anyone.
I think you are all great people to devote your personal time to help others in need. Sure some personalities may clash, but really I still think Rodney King had it right;

Re: What Do You Do for a Living?
I have no idea why anyone should be attacking anyone on this site.
Just let the Moderator sort it all out.
Yes many of us have strong opinions that does not mean that we should fight with each other.
The ones that fight the most are always the first to get BANNED. (like that guy who kept trying to get BE drunk for some reason) have another, and another and another. Like I said, let the Moderator handle what needs to be handled.
Lets just keep it how it has been, it doesnt have to be kissy kissy but out and out fighting is not fun to read:mad:
There is plenty of drama in peoples lives, just read some of the threads and be HAPPY that you are the one answering the posts and NOT doing the postings yourself:D

What started as a same-board, same-company sorta 'relationship' turned nasty when the person-of-interest left the company. Not sure if it was voluntary or not.....don't care! After a while I posted on another site something that upset some sort of "moral obligation" balance and the phonelines started burnin'!
I'm a fair minded sorta guy and I always try to evaluate everything on its own merits, but this individual's "merits" are sneaky and underhanded tactics meant to be hateful and damaging from the start.
That kinda thing leaves pretty much no ambiguity as to what the original intention was.....Ima thinkin'......"...they did me wrong so I gotta do somethin' to get righteous...." was perhaps, the sentiment-of-the-day!
