What Do You Do for a Living?
Simple enough question. Just so that we can share what we do and maybe help another out here with something.

Me: ASE certified master auto tech, and Factory trained motorcycle, ATV, and PWC tech for Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Yamamha, and Polaris. I own a repair business in BC and am considering buying another in WA state.

    On the side, I also do standup comedy and am writing two books. Am a CNA and LPN and have a CDL. { Like to keep my options open, lol}

I have three jobs, not counting running my household and taking care of my family.

I work 25 - 30 hours a week for a big software company I affectionately refer to as The Evil Empire.

I work 20 - 25 hours a week for a lawyer friend. He tells me to work 20, but the fact is, the work is intriguing, so I'm actually poking at it 6 or 7 days a week.

For 6 weeks out of every quarter, I also work 20 - 30 hours a week for a transcription company in the United Kingdom. We transcribe end of quarter earnings calls for various companies in a number of industries - banking, oil, construction, pub chains, you name it. Ramp up starts again next week, the next 6 weeks will doubtless be filled with much fussing and I no longer have to listen to those arrogant tits from Lehman Brothers yelling at companies for not putting shareholders first. Hah!

I also run a web research business, but I don't take on a lot of clients. Mostly, I stick to old clients from Google Answers who need the occasional rush job.

For fun, I bellydance. I'm performing tomorrow, whee!

How weird is that? I'm a belly dance instructor. I joke, of course.

I'm not really sure how I can answer the question though, so I'll just say what I can do if anyone cares to actually know.

I'm a mathematician who has interests - as well as training - in philosophy, collision dynamics (it's a hobby), philosophy (with a focus in logic), and other various fields of academic uselessness. My first, in a series of, solo maths book is due out this coming spring. :)

The law has become a recent hobby of mine such that I'm considering attending law school. I figured this site would help me decide if it's something sufficiently interesting to me to spend time doing in a school. Even if I don't, it's interesting to take on as an additional hobby.

    I guess that's me in a nutshell.

Missy, when do you find time to mill around on this website let alone sleep?

    Yeah, when?

Me, I'm a Sr. Systems Analyst/Software Engineer/Web Designer for a major automotive firm working in their treasury department as a department supervisor. That takes up about 50/60 hours out of my week.

During my 'off' hours, I spend time with my family and help take care of my grandmother (doing GREAT at 97 and still living on her own). I also play in a band. As a hobby, I'm a licensed pilot but don't get to fly much anymore due to the high cost of fuel and rental/insurance fees.

    Dullsville :D

    LAWL

It's like that here some days. Mostly during the six weeks the Brits have me hopping, though the hubby's new travel schedule has added an extra layer of fun.

Maybe all that fuchsia in your snakecharmer outfit is too loud for you to sleep?

    *ducks, hides*

How long have you been at it?

I have had some success with drinking teas containingthis for insomnia.

If I had to do it all over again, I would pick the government as my choice again. It is very rewarding:D

It ain't the colors, it's all the bling on my hips! I've been dancing for five years now, mostly in the Raks Beledi (classical Egyptian) style, but I've lately been very involved in Tribal Fusion.

Valerian and I are pretty good friends. I keep her around for things more serious than insomnia, though.

I'm a CNP. My speciality is GI and if I had it to do all over again, I would have gotten into GI sooner and I can't believe I'm saying that. :)
I've done legal consulting in the past but I really hate the paperwork. I also taught nursing at the local college. The pay was awful.

Oh yeah..and I have another full time job ....by girls ages 18, 16 and 12. I don't have too many hobbies bc I don't have much time. I do however enjoy sewing and scrapbooking and going to watch my kids play whatever sport they are playing in at the time. Volleyball right now.
