Possession of Marijuana and Paraphenalia

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Michigan

Last thursday i got caught smoking in the parking lot of a local resturant, The Tribal police showed up, which is kind of interesting because i am not native however i was on the reservation.

I was very cooperative with the cop, and told him yes i had been smoking and that the bowl was under the seat. He than asked if he searched my purse if i would have anything illegal in it, and of course i said yes i have a roach. The only things they caught me with was the bowl and the roach probably not even weighing out to a eighth of a gram.

This is my time being caught with drugs, He did not take me to jail or give me any sort of citation....Anyone have ne idea as to what may happen??

I don't believe Indian police/courts have criminal law jurisdiction over NON tribe/reservation members.

Indian reservations are "seperate sovereigns" from the state and federal government.

Either it will be refered to the MI authorities, who can prosecute you, or it may be dropped.
