    Emancipation Laws in Alberta
My question involves emancipation laws for the State of: Alberta
Okay, well, on the 14th of July, my family and i packed up and moved to Alberta from New Brunswick. I have been living here now for a while and loving it. The schooling is better here and I enjoy my job. My mother just informed me we will be moving back to New Brunswick on the 27th of November. I really dont want to move back and I do have a place to stay here. I threatened my mother with emancipation and she said i was too young. Well im 16 and want to know what things i need to do to be elligible for this.

    Thank you

I don't know emancipation laws in Canada, but in the US "I don't want to move" is not a reason that a judge will accept.

An empty threat as emancipation involves parental consent, at least that's
the ways it's done in the US

    .Enough.

I live in Alberta too, and want to be emancipated. All I know so far is that if you are the age of 16, or higher, you are able to live on your own... move out.
