Interstate Compact, and Transferring Probation to Different State
My question involves criminal law for the state of: ca
Would getting a lawyer hellp me transfer my probation from CA to FL within a few weeks???

It's unlikely that anything can make the system move that quickly. If you're in that much of a rush, you're probably better off getting help from a lawyer and seeing what can be accomplished.

Trust me, nothing goes through California Interstate in a few weeks. Don't waste money on a lawyer. Go talk to the probation department, as they initiate the paperwork. Problem is, then it goes to Sacramento, then to the receiving state's main office, then to the proper jurisdiction. Then it all comes back through all these channels. It basically takes a long time. Good luck!
