Freedom Of Speech At School
My question involves criminal law for the state of: Florida
I no longer go to school, I graduated, but I had a question about freedom of speech in schools, back when I used to go to school I would voice my opinion on what I believed in and what my opinions were, that was a lot of the time welcomed, but why did I get into trouble for expressing certain things, for instance, one time I was told that religion is not allowed in schools, but I have a right to voice my opinion and express myself, what am I not allowed to say at school that I am welcome to say at home and on the street ?
If this thread is in the wrong section than you are welcome to move it to a more proper section.
Re: Freedom Of Speech At School
Speech restrictions in school focus primarily upon the school's need to maintain order. It's a complicated subject - if you search the web you'll likely come up with a number of lengthy articles, and many court decisions.

Rocky, here is a SC case not yet 2 years old, it was quite a well known case in legal circles; "Bong hits 4 Jesus".
