Probation and Custody of Son

My question involves a child custody case from the State of: TEXAS

My son is in temporary custody with his grandparents. My ex-girlfriend planted a small amount of drugs in my car, then called the police on me. I tested negative on a drug test days after my arrest. I am on the diversion program. I am on probation for one year. Since then, my ex-girlfriend has been arrested and is currently in jail.

I want to seek custody of my son. My arrest was for <2 oz of marijuana, a misdemeanor. What is my chance of getting custody of my son while I am still on probation? Can I move back to my home in another state and still be on probation?
