Car Repo 2 Days Ago on Title Loan, Can I Get It Back?
My question involves an auto loan or repossession in the State of Illinois: My significant other took a title loan on my Mountainer without my knowledge. He only made $2900 in payments on a $3000 loan and they want huge dollars for it. He stopped paying. It was outright owned for 2 years, and shockingly repoed 2 nights ago--Can he list it on a chapter 13 bankruptcy before the auction sale to get it back, anything I can do to retrieve my car back that I had hoped would get me through a few years with no car payments? Thank you so much, any advice would be greatly appreciated!

The title is in your name, your S.O.'s name, or both of your names?

Unfortunately, his name...he picked up my car at the dealer while I was at a new job training with my check. Because I wasn't present, the dealer wouldn't put it in my name. I had paid for it in full, with a settlement chick from State Farm.
