My kids' dad only paid me 4 dollars and 44 cents yesterday

My question involves child support in the State of: arizona/missouri
hey everyone... ok my daughters and i live in arizona. my daughters father lives in missouri. we have a court order for 202.00 in child support a month.in one yr that only equals about 2,500.. here in az they will not "enforce" support until he gets 5,000 behind..... the last 3 months he has only been paying around 2 dollars & 70 cents! yesterday i got a payment of 4.44. ya i know WOW, huh! his payments were already lowered because it was to high for him . my original payment was to be 360.00, a month... the most i have ever seen from him at one time has been 72.00... now this august i got a tax refund of his for 1,200..he was at 2,670 behind. my concern is if he plays his cards right he can make it that he never goes over 5,000... so my support will not get enforced.or it may take a few more years before i get any real help.... i have been on child supports case thru e-mail and in person.... they r very vauge about my options... basically he needs to be at that 5,000 behind limit before they pursue him... anyway if anyone is going thru this or has any advice please help me . can i do anything about my totally 2 low payments. i cant even buy 1 gallon of milk with 2.70 from him.... can i refuse his payments? im feeling hateful towards him..... im not struggling, thank GOD! however i did"nt make these girls by myself !

It is not true that a CSE agency cannot take action until there is $5,000 in arrears accrued.

There must be some reason they are refusing to enforce. Is the CS garnished from ex's pay? If it is, and it is garnished correctly, the payments are only 55% to 65% of ex's pay, that's the legal limit that can be garnished.

If the payments aren't being garnished, give the CSE the name and address of ex's employer and ask them to serve the employer with a garnishment order.

Another possiblity: is your ex out of work due to illness or injury or some other disability?
Quite often, the CSE agency will have info that the CP does not have, and in certain situations, like those listed above, they really can't do much to enforce payment. If none of those exist, ask the caseworker about sending a notice to suspend ex's DL. Or filing a motion to show cause.

Since the payments are being made through the state disbursement unit, you really can't refuse any payments.

he is self employed and as far as i know working and in great health???? so go figure! all i do know is CSE here in tucson az told me he has to be 5,000 behind before they take major action.... they will not do the "license" till he gets to that limit and he quite possibly could do jail time. but like i said before, if he plays his cards right it will be a long time before he gets there!
