My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: PENNSYLVANIA
I started a great new job, paying a wage I can actually live off, on 09/16/2008. I was fired @ 9am 09/17/2008. I was told exactly why I was fired. They told me I was fired because I had violent charges on my background check. I was arrested 01/12/2008 for aggrivated assault against 2 police officers. Whether or not the charges are true...-not-...is it fair for them to fire me on the assumption that im am guilty...better yet, Is it legal for them to fire me because of the charges? What steps can I take to get my job back or even file a case against the corporation. I did sign an agreement to be an "at-will employee" but they still hired me a full week after I gave them all my information for a background check....I just feel like..:wallbang:
