Can I Move Out of My House at the Age of 16, with Parent Consent?
My question involves juvenile law in the State of: San Francisco, California

I want to move out of my house because of abuse and being treated like dirt. I live with a single mother and two brothers who can not help me in my situation. I can not wait until graduation (this senior year) to get self-emancipated. It's too long from now, and I need to look for my own self protection. I've talked to my Educational adviser but I doubt he'd be able to do much for me. I need to take action.

So the question is, can I move out and live with a friends parent even if she disagrees but knows where I'm at? I'll go to school daily until graduation in 2009. I'll find a job, etc. I won't need her support or anything because I don't want anything to do with her.

    Help?

btw, it is true that I am self emancipated in the State of California when I graduate from high school ?

also, I am currently 16. 17 on October 15, 2008, and 18 of next year. Can I be self emancipated in Cali on the day of graduation?

    Because you aren't 18.

Until that time, you live where your parents tell you to live.
