Should I Be Able to Get Emancipated?
My question involves emancipation laws for the State of: Utah

I am 17 years old and my boyfriend is 18 years old. He joined the Army about 7 months ago, and is now stationed in New York. We do not have children and are not planning on it for a few years (so, this is not the problem). I am working on getting my GED right now and then from there, getting my adult diploma. Him and I would like to get married but my dad wants me to wait until I am 18 years old. My dad and I don't get a long and don't see eye to eye ever!
Is there anyway to get legal help with this situation? Mind, I do have a job and I am going to work full time to prove to the judge that I am capable of taking care of myself. I plan on continuing my education when and if I am able to move up their with him.

So, you work full time. How much money do you make? Is it enough to COMPLETELY support yourself?

No judge is going to force your father to allow you to get married while still a minor. Not going to happen, kid.
