    Would an Arrest Record Affect my Citzenship
    I was recently arrested and charge with criminal mischeif and assualt with a deadly weapon however charges was later dropped and case was dismissed as no action and i wanted being that ive been a fl resident for 5yrs and have 2american born children would the arrest cause me from being able to obtain my citzenship? Also im getting my record expunged because ive never been arrested prior to that one incident.

    The charge was dismissed because the prosecutor decided there's not enough evidence to prosecute, or because you entered a plea bargain? If it was a plea bargain, did you enter a guilty plea then get a deferred sentence?

    Thank you for replying back to my post but to anwser your question no i did not take any plea bargin.i went to court and was told by the judge and the prosecutors that they were not persuing charges against me and the case was dropped i guess due to lack of evidence.

    Then it's unlikely to have a significant effect on your immigration; but we're working with pretty scant information, so if you want to be more certain you should ask an immigration lawyer who knows the details of your case.
