Can Someone Get Prosecuted for Food Stamp Fraud
My question involves criminal law for the state of: VA

Is it fraud if you accept food stamps after the time it should have been cut off? My neighbor applied for food stamps while she was out of work for 2 months and kept receiving them 4 months after she had started working again. She never reapplied for them but now is worried that she will get in trouble for accepting them.
    Thanks.

It's possible, yes, for people who fraudulently obtain food stamps to be prosecuted for their fraud.
