Shoplifting citation
i was recently shopping at a mall in NY and my good friend and i stole these bras. but the ladies who worked in the shop saw the price tags on the ground and knew we were the only ones in that particular dressing room. the bras combined cost about $60.
well, they tracked us down after we left the shop (by camera) and said to give them the bras. we said we didn't have them since we had left them in a bathroom trash so we wouldn't get caught. they said we could leave but then as we were walking to the car, the security guy asked us to come back one last time to file a report. of course we just denied it but we had to put down our contact information for the report. we said we were sisters since we look vERY much alike.
when we were driving home, we got a call from the store saying they found the bras in the bathroom and had us on camera walking into that bathroom. they called my friend's mom and her mother told the people at the store my address. she said they would definately be sending a citation.
so now that you know my story, i need help! will they send this citation to MY house that my friend's mom gave them? how much could this citation cost?? i'm really scared, please help!!!!

Citation meaning they are pressing charges and they are sending you a ticket with a court date. Hope they are doing the same for your friend.

If you girls were stopped after you 'dumped' the items, there is no way they should charge you, if you're under 18 I don't see how they can. It would seem they have no evidence to bring charges, anyone could have tossed those bras in the trash if the employee's didn't see you actually dump.
