Falsely Accused of Rape

The state is already punishing her for filing the false report. She'll now get to enjoy having a criminal record, and that criminal record will be public information which will follow her pretty much forever.

Sure, you can sue, and even likely win. Winning and collecting aren't even in the same ballpark though, and frankly the criminal matter against her will speak volumes more than the result of any civil suit you'd bring.

I do not doubt that she fabricated her claim - roughly two percent of all rape claims are in fact fabricated. I learned this working in a rape crisis center for 10 years. I'm a rape survivor myself, so take your tantrum and cram it.

HOWEVER - throwing the aforementioned tantrum in progress is NOT going to help you. It will just make you look like an idiot and will completely eradicate any chances you might have in the future of getting justice. Or didn't you read what Mr. Knowitall told you?

So rather than pitch your little fit, buck up and pay attention when someone talks sense to you. It will save YOU the hassle of a defamation lawsuit filed against you later.

Nearly every state today has a sex offenders registry where those who are convicted of a sex crime have to be registered. I see no problems with waiting until she is found guilty of the false accusation to post information about her and her conviction in the local paper. That would be provided the local paper didn't do that for you.

Today more and more females are making false accusations of sexual assault. There should be a clearing house of their names because a false accusation of a sex crime should be in itself, a sex crime.

FlyinTexan's point is to humiliate and embarass the woman as he has been done. Unfortunately, there aren't many avenues for that. I understand why you want to do it, but you have to ask yourself if she is worth the time, money, and aggravation. The answer is simple: she is not.

As my wife would say: "good attention, bad attention. It's still attention". Your best bet is to not give her that attention. Any rewards are lost in the efforts. Yes, future suitors should forewarned, but how can you do that without {a} drawing attention or {b} reliving your hell or {c} risk a stalking charge? Besides, if they tangle with this woman, it is their problem, not yours. They'll find their way here, asking the same questions you did.

But, to say women are bitches is just plain wrong. Not all are. Not all men are rapists, are they? Be safe and state your opinion of the one woman.

The best revenge is none at all. Live well and prosper. That is vengence enough.

You have two choices - either prolong the situation and keep hold of that anger... Or let it go and move on.

Are you looking for justice? Or revenge? Let the Sheriff's dept worry about the justice. Revenge is a mug's game. (I suspect her false accusation was an attempt at revenge too)

You ever see that laurel & hardy film where L&H are having a dispute with a homeowner and they keep getting revenge on each other by breaking items of increasing value on each other's property? ie L&H would break a light at the house, then the homeowner would break the headlight on L&H's car, and so on and so forth. I always think of that film when people talk about revenge because regardless of who was wrong or right they both wound up losing everything to their pigheaded pursuit of revenge.

I do sort of understand the aggravation that he is experiencing and I have not been behind that eight ball. I do however have a woman that is trying to extort money from me by revealing an affair that I wrongly participated in. She has also threatened to go to the police and file rape charges against me if I do not pay. Now granted, I have not seen her in over a month and that was to bail her out of jail for a DUI and drug possession arrest, OK stupid there too. So I know there is no case, but just to be humiliated by it is something none of us want.
