    Traveling to Europe on Probation
My question involves criminal law for the state of: Texas

I'm on 2 year probation, I have already served 6 months and have been paying and doing my community service. I wanna travel to europe and already have my ticket, my case was a felony case but was pled down to a misdemeanor, will it show up at the airport that I am on probation? Will I be stopped at the airport here in Texas or once I get to Europe?

I plan on asking for permission but in case I get denied permission will they be able to see that at the airport? Also, I am not a citizen of the U.S., I am traveling with a Central American passport, will the probation still show up?

You should ask your probation officer for permission to go. If you violate the terms of your probation...your likely to go to the pokey. You agreed to the plea deal, the deal was good enough then and now you wanna change the deal. There is always a possibility that the probation will show up and you run a risk of being detained in customs.
Personally, I wouldn't have bought the ticket, this could very well end up being the most expensive price you've ever paid to go to Europe!
I'd also like to add that you run a greater chance of getting caught upon your return to the US. Getting out isn't nearly as much of a problem as getting back in these days (this is from my personal experience).

No Silly! I'm talking about just traveling in and out of the US in general.

Uh huh. What did you do this time, gigi? Drinking and driving? "Indecent" exposure? :p :D

I always try to wear something special.

Those TSA folks work hard... I try to make my strip search enjoyable for everyone.

I wear my elephant thong for those special trips. TSA quickly forget why they wanna strip search me.

But, back on topic, I have found they question things after arriving.

I can proudly say that I have never been arrested. However, I will tell you that it's on my bucket list. Protesting or something, but nothing major.
Not saying that I didn't come close a time or two in my younger days...but I have to be good and set the example. Now that I'm thinking about it, the closest I've been to being frisked by an officer was by a TSA!

You're just a perfect angel!!! Or maybe it's because you never got caught? ;)

HEY!!! I got an idea!!! Let's go protest the grossly excessive salaries being paid to healthcare workers! Oh wait... :D
