What Happens With Charges Taken Under Advisement
My question involves criminal law for the state of: Michigan
I was wondering, if in a felony manufacturing/distribution of marijuana case, what does being under advisement entail? Does it last as long as probation would last, or does it last longer? (Assuming I get probation and not jail time which is looking good right now.) It's my first offense with a clean record, going to school, had a job before I got up to school, and I will piss clean if they decide to test me.
Thanks
Re: Under Advisement: Michigan
Has the charge been taken "under advisement", or are you just asking?
You're an adult? You have a lawyer?
Re: What Happens With Charges Taken Under Advisement
I'm asking... I haven't been sentenced yet, but I've been to court twice now with a third date coming up maybe in a month? It hasn't been set yet. I am just wondering what under advisement entails (time period basically).

Oops, yes to both your questions as well. Just haven't had a chance to talk to the lawyer, and I'm trying not to call him since he'll start the clock and I'll be charged for it...I'm rather poor at the moment.
