Applying for an Apartment with a Dismissed Drug Posession Charge
My question involves expungements or pardons for the state of: NC
Two years ago I was charged with drug possession and resisting arrest but the charges were dismissed. I filed for a background check through the court and on it it says that those two charges were dismissed by the DA. So now I am attempting to get an apartment but I was denied because their source does not indicate that those charges was dismissed. So my first question is if I will continued to get denied an apartment as long as this is on my record. My second question is, that if I need to get my records sealed or expunged would it be invisible on my record as if it didn't exist or would you be able to see that I have a sealed/expunged record? Thank you
Re: Applying for an Apartment with a Dismissed Drug Posession Charge
You need to get some kind of documents from the court showing the charges were dismissed.
Whether that will help you is something I do not know.
