Visitation and Paternity Testing
My question involves a child custody case from the State of: Ohio
my fiance's ex will not let him see his daughter if she does not get what she wants and when. last wk she called him 2 hrs before they were supposed to meet and said no because his dad did not say hi to her in the store. as a result we are filing papers for visitation tomorrow. also she if she is upset she will tell him that the baby is not his child, then he'll say why am i paying child support and then she'll say no of course your the father.
so when we file for visitation we would also like to file for paternity test. we called today and they charge $120 for filing for the test and $650 for the test. that a lot of money and we're tight now anyways. is there a way that she might have to pay part of it to, and should we file for the test now or wait till we're in court and then ask the judge to order it. thanks for any info. also the child is 2 yrs

First, there is no "we" in any this. You are not a party, only your fiance. Has paternity been established? I see that he is paying support, but is it court ordered?
He can ask the judge to order her to pay part of it, but I doubt he will do so especially if the child turns out to be his. If he is going to request a paternity test, it would be best that he does so before he goes for visitation though.
Re: Visitation and Paternity Testing
One other option if the current support he pays is NOT court ordered...
Contact the Ohio child support agency (link below). If your bf asks to establish a child support case through the agency, I believe they will provide paternity testing for free or at a reduced cost. He might as well ask about the cost to see if he can save a few bucks! After paternity and the support order is established, then he can go to court for the visitation request.
