Renters Insurance
My question involves insurance law for the state of: California
I live in an apartment and have renters insurance through safeco.I wanted to know we rented a garage in are complex and it is on the other side of the complex. They are a row of garages that can be rented. I want to know will my renters insurance cover the garage if it is broken into even though it is not attached to the apartment.
I have asked my insurance agent but he has not called back in a month so i put in another call and am not counting on a response

You need to read your policy.

Re: Renters Insurance
Based on your post, I think you need to get a new agent. Generally saying though, if your worried about your personal belongings inside the garage, you should have a dollar amount on your policy that shows the limit on what your covered for under Personal Property. It will cover your prsonal belongiongs almost anywhere, just like a homeowners ploicy. Just check out the policy. But seriously, if your agent isn't returning your call, get a new one from Safeco or shop around with other companies.
