Almost 18
My question involves juvenile law in the State of: California
I have a son who will be 18 on 12/8/08..It has been a complete nightmare since he was 9yrs old. He has stolen, lied, fights, threaten to kill me, busted with drugs, kicked out of 4 high schools, tagged, and has been accused of molesting 2 kids when he was about 13 (not enough evidence to charge). I am sick of him being in my house. Right now he knows I have to put a roof over his head, clothes on his back ( I buy cheap) and food in his mouth. So he is just laying around like a complete freeloader. He goes to school only 1 day a week for 1 hr. I want to scream. Is there anyway at all I can get him out sooner? By the way he is a senior but there is no possible way he can graduate with all the credits he is behind. Please I am tired of living like a prisoner in my own home. I scared of him.

Re: Almost 18
Does he want to move out? What if you find somebody who will rent him a room (don't cosign or guarantee any lease or rental agreement), and pay in advance the next four months rent?

Re: Almost 18
he says he wants to leave, but when it comes down to it he has no where to go. He has stolen from everybody he can so no one wants him around. Still no one will file charges. I have tried to myself but they say either not enough evidance or the victim has to file charges. At this point he knows I can not throw him out so he is just being a complete jerk. As a single parent I am so tired. I know its not the systems fault I had him, but they have allowed him to get away with things that any adult would have been to jail for already.
