Shoplifter That Ran Away, in Illinois
So, today I shoplifted from Hollister. It was a pair of shorts that were on sale for like, $19.90 or something like that. I put it in my bag, cut the tags off thinking that that would put me off the hook completely forgetting about the security pin that's impossible to get off. I walked out of the store and the alarms went off but I just kept walking, scared out of my mind. Then I went into Buckle, not even knowing about the security pin, and the alarms went off in the Buckle store. I denied anything having to do with having something in my bag, and they just shrugged it off. I grabbed some of their clothes and looked at the shorts and realized that the pin was there, then I shoved the shorts into a pair of the jeans, placed the jeans on the shelf and acted like nothing happened. After doing my best to look like just another shopper, asking for some help with pants, etc, I walked out of the store and left the mall.
So, this is a mall that I go to pretty often, it's near my house too, but I'm so scared about what might happen if I go back, and they recognize me. I'm only 14, going into highschool, I get straight A's, play a lot of sports, etc. How long should I wait 'till I go back to that mall? Should I wait? What'll happen if they find me through like cameras or whatever? I'm so scareedd, I don't know what I was thinking. Someone help me out?

First, if you were going to be caught, you would have already been caught.
Second, don't be this stupid again.
Read through the hundreds of "I just shoplifted and now I can't get a real job" threads on this board.
You were, literally, getting ready to flush everything for $20. How would your parents have felt? Do they have the money for a good attorney?
Even a minor shoplifting charge will cost several hundred dollars... and if you are arrested, triple that in legal fees.
Stupid.
Don't do it again.
Re: Shoplifter That Ran Away, (Illinois)
What about me returning to that mall? Would the workers at the stores (both Hollister and Buckle) be looking for me or recognize me? Would they have told the mall security and looked over security tapes of the stores and the mall? And most importantly, will they be looking for me?
Re: Shoplifter That Ran Away, (Illinois)
Sorry, I cannot predict the future.
I don't know if someone will decide to scrutinize hours of video tapes to catch you.
While possible, it isn't probable. Doesn't mean it won't happen though.
If you want a definate answer, we don't have one.

Re: Shoplifter That Ran Away, (Illinois)
If you're going to be constantly worried about this, your best option is to no longer go into those stores again. Aside from that we can only guess, but not give definitive answers.

Any other opinions?
Sure.
"Arthur" may have been the funniest movie of all time, the designated hitter rule is ruining baseball, Paris needs to stop designing fashions for women under 75 pounds, curling is the most underrated sport in the world, celebrities should stop giving their political opinions and then complaining when there is fallout and the government can chastise the oil companies for making 11 cents per gallon of sold gasoline when they stop taking 38 cents per gallon in taxes.
I got a boatload of them.
