First Offense Possession of Marijuana and Ecstasy
My question involves criminal law for the state of: NH

Hey I was recently busted in a motel in New Hampshire and I was caught with two ecstasy pills in my purse, and I merely just claimed that a little bit of weed that was on a table (mustve been around 3 or 4 grams) was mine and also a bowl. (those werent inside my purse)

My boyfriend, who was with me, was caught with LSD in his wallet. I'm not sure how much but he had spent a pretty penny. He was on probation from an oui back in dec in MA. I'm very scared for him.

He had given two friends of ours we invited up some of the acid (LSD) --too much for them to handle and they overdosed and caused the cops to come in from just a routine watch outside the place. :wallbang:

It was a horror scene. Cops came in and we didn't have time to think.

It's my first ever arrest but I hear NH is very very bad. People i've talked to have said I'll get probation and fines. But how long??? How much??? What about my boyfriend? I need advice, my arraignment is on the 26th of this month and I just want to know what I'm looking at.

thanks. but i couldnt find anything about ecstacy in that. just marijuana.

and another question: I'm thinking about pleading for pre-trial probation at my arraignment. What are the odds that it will be granted to me? (can i do that at the arraignment or does it have to happen at a later stage with my court appointed lawyer or public defender???)

--this is my first ever arrest, i've never even gotten pulled over or anything by a cop in my life. so would that help?

If you looked at those statutes and only saw prohibitions against marijuana, you didn't look very hard. Or perhaps at all. MDMA, or Methylenedioxymethamphetamine, is often criminalized as an amphetamine - see the very first statute on that page.

You should consult a lawyer. You should not expect to be sentenced at your arraignment, let alone to be negotiating plea bargains. Depending upon the practices of the court and prosecutor's office, there may not even be a prosecutor present with whom to bargain.

LSD can be punished with up to 10 years for intent to sell, I sure hope you're "friends" said they didn't get it from him:confused:

I went to the arraignment. Two felonies for the LSD and the ecstasy. And a class A misdemeanor for the marijuana.

But the LSD wasn't in my possession, it was in my bf's wallet?!

He only got charged with the LSD and the marijuana.

And he didn't get charged with the Ecstacy when it was in my purse.

What gives?! I got one more felony than he did.
