What to Disclose on a Security Clearance Form
I am filling out the paper work to obtain a secret security clearance and have a question.

I was arrested in 2003 in NYC and charged with disorderly conduct and criminal mischief. both misdemeanors and i was 18 at the time however it was placed on my minor record as a minor was charged with me.

So the question I have is when filling out the clearance form do I need to mention this since it was on my minor record?

I have also used marijuana during my party days at college which was two years ago.

also would these two things combined hurt my chances of obtaining a clearance?

    I appreciate your help!

    Re: Security Clearance Form?
Is this a government secret clearance? If so, you can bet they will find out about it. Even if they were misdemeanors and dismissed, the arrest record is seperate.
Answer the question EXACTLY as it asks. If it asks were you ever arrested..say yes.
If it asks if you were convicted of a felony..say no.
Were you convicted of a marijuana possession or just a recreational user?
Just don't lie, that will really hurt any chance.

We don't really know. Your hx doesn't help your chances any. Just be truthful on the application.
