Drunk, Love and Burglary

:wallbang: My question involves criminal law for the state of: FLorida

My son 18 and his girlfriend (18) together 3 years. Went to a party. Sometime after the party they got in to it. She went home. My son upset runs over to her house and starts pounding on the window. Wakes up Grand Ma (the owner and guardin to the girlfriend). Grand ma calls the police and my son gets charged with burglary. He is sure he didn't go in the house. She (girl friend) was calling me to get him while this happened, but the police got him first. He gets Arrested and thrown in jail for 2 days. The girl friend will do anything to help him. We are getting a Lawyer. But what can the girl friend do to help my son? The grand mother is almost blind and in a wheel chair and hates my son. ...........so Much Drama!! sorry if some of this is irrelevant. I am just trying to paint the picture. THis is his first offence, he was definitly drunk & disorderly, but not a burglar.

I don't know that the girlfriend will be able to help him--it depends upon what she says occurred. If your son was drunk his credibility is going to be suspect and based on what you've said I do not know where they get a burglary either.

As you are retaining an attorney he will be able to get discovery and that usually answers a number of questions.

Thanks! I have had more success getting the story from a toddler. Drunk son, Drunk girlfriend ,Crazy Grand ma. I think he broke her screen window. But the arrest report should be interesting. Thanks for the help!!!;)
