Emancipation Options
My question involves emancipation laws for the State of: Louisiana
Im a 17 year old kid im Louisiana. I am in a GED program in school. My parents dont support me in anyway. They call me a loser and tell me that im a failure and that i am taking the easy way out. For a kid growing up in todays world, having your parents tell you that your a failure hurts more than getting bullied in school. Your parents are suppose to support your choices in life. If i weren't trying to show my parents that i wanna get out of high school with something i would just quit. But i am getting my GED for them. :(
I don't want to get made fun of every day by them. It hurts. I thought about getting emancipated, and thats why i posted under here.
I dont think i can get emancipated for this reason, but can someone please help me about what to do or something i can do?
Thankyou

Re: Emancipation Options
Posts #1 & #2 in that link actually do answer your question. You don't seem to meet the requirements needed; and arguing with your parents isn't a valid reason either. If you're being abused you need to call CPS/Local Department of children and youth otherwise there aren't any other options.
