Minor Name Change Laws in Georgia
My question involves name change laws in the State of: GA

I am the aunt of twin boys that are almost 4 years old, and will receive legal custody this week. They have been living with me almost 2 years now, and prior to that, were in a foster home. Custody is being transferred out of our state's foster or DFCS system to me. I would like to change their first names (their last name is our family name) - but am unsure if guardianship gives me that right? The state did not terminate the parent's rights, but they did file "non-reunification" some time ago. Any idea if I can change their names?

You'll need both parents' permission since thier rights were not terminated.
