Don't Know What To Do Help Me Please

My question involves emancipation laws for the State of: Florida

Yeah, well about three months ago my dad kicked me out. I have been staying with different people to get by the days. I have no family that I can stay with. My dad won't let me stay at home. Yet he continues to threat me with calling the cops in order to file me as a run away. I have been looking for a job a long time, with no luck. I'm not sure of the laws and if any of my problems would change the emancipation conduct in my case. :confused: This is realy hard for me.

You need to contact the department of children and youth in your area they can help you out. Emancipation won't as your parents would have to file the petition.

If you are a minor and your father is your legal guardian, he cannot kick you out (he CAN allow you to stay with someone else, but as long as he's your guardian, ultimately HE must take you in). He is legally responsible for you. Period. Call police and wait for them outside. They will inform him that either you return to the home or he goes to jail. Parents never believe it (I guess they figure police are bluffing?), right up until the time the parent refuses and is suddenly in cuffs being walked to the car for the nice ride to jail for neglect charges. The looks on their faces are priceless.

If you have other family in the area, perhaps a change in guardianship could be considered.
