    Does Alimony Continue if You Remarry
    I am receiving alimony the divorce was non contested in Ohio, we had a separation agreement and alimony was granted for 36 month. My question is can I remarry and still get this paid to me the papers don’t give conditions other than a set time frame

    If the divorce judgment doesn't set any conditions that would end support, then your ex would have to bring a motion to try to convince the judge that your remarriage should result in the termination of his support obligation. As we know nothing about your case, we can't assess his chances of prevailing.

    Normally the agreement is a binding contract and he has to pay. However, it really depends on the judge. Ask your attorney since he knows the judge.

    Is the alimony described in the judgment as "non-modifiable"? If so, I would expect the court to deny any motion to modify.

    The divorce papers say nothing about modifaction, what is said in the separation agreement is that husband shall pay support to the wife for a period of time. payment to begin upon sighning of agreement. But it also says this agreement shall not be changed or modified except that it be done in writing and signed by both parties or by further order of the court.
