US Citizen Wants to Marry UK Citizen
I am a US Citizen, born and raised....and I am currently in the middle of a divorce. But I have a UK boyfriend, and we have been seeing each other for quite some time now, and were wondering when it would be a good time to get married. We are afraid if we got married right after my divorce was final it wouldn't look to good. Also, we really don't know what all we have to do to get married. He has been to the states a few times before, for school and to visit me. Any help would be appreciated.

Trying to Marry a UK Citizen in Texas
My question involves marriage law for the State of: Texas

I am towards the end of a divorce with my ex, but my UK boyfriend and I wanted to get married soon after it is all done. We aren't sure how long we should wait, because we don't want it to look bad to immigration, and also what we need to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

To get married you observe whatever waiting period your state requires, if any, following divorce, then get a marriage license and marry. Pretty simple.

In terms of your fear that your marriage may not be viewed as bona fide by the USCIS? Is there something other than your wanting to marry immediately after your divorce that is creating your fear? If so, we don't have the details - so consult an immigration lawyer.
