    Emancipation for Child Support
My question involves emancipation laws for the State of: North Carolina

My son is a cadet at the US Air Force Academy. My ex husband is supposed to pay child support according to our separation agreement until my son is out of college. Is my son considered emancipated because he is a cadet at the Academy? Does this mean my ex no longer needs to pay child support?

First- what is the EXACT wording of your decree regarding CS?

Typically, enlisting in any branch of the military is an emancipating event, so you should really get a consult with a local attorney for clarification.
