My question involves criminal law for the state of: Pennsylvania
I was arrested for retail theft at Wal-mart a month after my 18th birthday. I was given a summary offense. I plead guilty. It shows up as retail theft- S on my criminal background check and FBI fingerprinting.
I have never had any problem getting hired for a job in the past, and I recently returned to school for my masters in elementary education, which will be completed by May '09. I have a fear it will make it difficult to find a job when I'm done.
I am now going to be 26 making it 8 years with a clean record, besides the summary offense. Is it possible to have this record expunged, and if so, how do I go about doing so.
