Homes Youthful Trainee Act
My question involves criminal law for the state of: Michigan
10 years ago I completed the Homes Youthful Trainee program for petit larceny. My case was dismissed and told my records would be sealed.
Now, applying for a professional healthcare license, can I answer "No" to questions about prior guilty plea or regarding misdemeanor where adjudication was withheld?
Also, Michigan public records shows no record for me, but will FBI fingerprint check show the arrest record?
Re: Homes Youthful Trainee Act
You received HYTA for a misdemeanor or a felony? If it was for a felony, your case would not involve a "misdemeanor where adjudication was withheld".
For HYTA, you do enter a guilty plea, and adjudication is withheld. If you successfully complete your probation, no conviction is entered.
Re: Homes Youthful Trainee Act
It was a misdemeanor (stole $25 worth of paper).
