Moving Out at 17 Years of Age
My question involves juvenile law in the State of: Texas

If a person moved out of their parents house at the age of 17 what could some of the outcomes be? What im asking is if this is illegal or can the police or the parents do anything to force the 17 year old back to the house. The 17 year old would have informed that parents the she is moving out of the house. The parents do not agree. Could the 17 year old be classified as a run away by the poilice?

Yes. You would be a runaway.

Legally, 17 is no different than 16 or 10. You live where your parents tell you to live.

For some reason, kids have started the myth that 17 is 18 "light". That no one will really do anything.

That is false. It all depends on whether or not your parents file for your return.
