My question involves emancipation laws for the State of: florida
i am currently 16 and live with my mom, step dad and little sister. This year im going to be graduating high school and plan to go to college that spring. I have the grades and i would be living with my granparents. The problem is my mom has created an abusive household both mentally and physically ever since my step dad cheated on her and came back which she blames me for. i don't know if i can take the next year since things seem to be getting worse, and even when i graduate i will be underage and unable legally to move out on my own and im afraid im gunna be stuck in this house unable to persue my goals and make a better life for myself. Is there anything i can do now or after i graduate before i turn 18?

In Florida, the ONLY way for a teen to be emancipated is if the PARENTS file the petition. If they do, it's possible but not probable that you can be emancipated. If they don't, it's a no go, period.
