Getting a Driver's License with an Old Violation of Probation
My question involves criminal law for the state of: Georgia and Alabama.
I was on probation many yrs ago in a very small town-- Not high tech at all. Mayberry lol..
I moved to Florida with out finishing this up. However, I got a DL with no problems but now I moved to AL and the Fl dl has expired. Being older and wiser now- should I worry about going to the DMV and this coming up?
I have pulled my background and there is nothing on me-- I cant be that lucky.
So I guess my question is do these states talk to each other-?
It has been a little over 8 yrs.
Thanks

You're worried about what? Getting picked up on an out-of-state warrant at the DMV? The odds of that are exceptionally low, particularly under these facts.

Mr. Know it all- are you being sarcastic?
I have done a background on myself and nothing comes up. (used intellius) I found the docket number stashed away in paper work and sent that though the ga.gov court site--nothing comes up.
It was a first offender case--misdemeanor- is it possible it was never added to the computers??

I am sorry not used to this forum.. What facts?

No, I was being straightforward. You made me guess at what your concern might be. Beyond that, "The odds of [getting picked up on an out-of-state warrant at the DMV] are exceptionally low, particularly under these facts."
The facts of your situation as you described them. Sheesh.

Thanks, just not knowing will worry me to death. Sheesh.:)
