Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor in Arkansas
My question involves criminal law for the state of: Arkansas

I have custody of my daughter but she visits her Mom in Arkansas during the summer. She is now 16. This summer as well as in 2007 my ex-wife has allowed my daughter to smoke. My Ex smokes, and has given the cigarettes to my daughter. She has only smoked a few times, but it is still concerning to me. I can't believe her Mom would actually give her the cigarette. At least it's not alcohol yet.

Does this fall under Contributing to the Delinquincy of a Minor? If so, what could the possible fines, etc., be for this? Thanks so much!

It sounds like something you need to address through the custody court.

You're in a different, undisclosed state, right? If you want you can make a police report in Arkansas, put your child front-and-center in this dispute with your spouse, and if the prosecutor files charges travel with your child to Arkansas for any necessary court proceedings.
