Son Accused Of Racist Remarks
My question involves defamation in the state of: My 12 old son was suspened for the first time in his life for beeing accused of making two verbal racist remarks after starting school one week after we moved up to a small rural town. When we spoke with the priciple about his behavoir and the suspension explanation, we were told that three students had made these allegations and could not corraborate thier stories so the decision is final.I Wrote the school district a letter about this false claim and found he waited until school let out to respond back and did nothing that convinced me the principles actions were valid since he did claim three statements were taken. DO i have the right to these allegations under the freedom of information act since they supposedly were used in this unbias investigation? And since the school district representative actly out of time and stated now four kids had made these allegations, the allegations apparently look false, How can I best gather facts to support any liabilty? He stated in his letter responding back to me in his closing that sometimes mistakes are made. This is a another written form of admission and the false allegations are worse coming from school representatives concerning kids now. I want to persue this for corrections and not for any monitary unless that is my only recourse.
