What Are the Legal Consequences of Marrying an Illegal Alien
I was just wondering, especially for those U.S. citizens that have gone through the process of adjusting their spouse's status, if there have been any negative legal repercussions as a result of your marriage. For example, could you lose your job or maybe not receive a job offer as a result of marrying an illegal alien? (ie, when the employer is doing a background investigation on you, even if it is not a high security job) Could you also get in trouble for living with someone if you are married and they have not yet become a permanent resident? Thanks for your feedback!

No, there should be no consequences like you asked about. If there was, you would have a great case for a lawsuit on your hands! Marrying someone who is out of status is not illegal, as long as you did not use false documents to get the marriage license.
