Consequences of Retail Theft
My question involves criminal law for the state of: Florida. I was arrested at Bealls for stealing a t-shirt and was wondering what my consequences, legally, will be?
I've never been in trouble, but i did admit to the crime in front of the arresting officer. Would you recommend a lwyer, and if so what would he/she be able to do for me?
Re: Consequences of Retail Theft
You are facing criminal charges and a criminal record yes you need an Attorney
Re: Consequences of Retail Theft
most cases are depends, but most likely it will be a civil demand and some community work ( thats what happend to my friend )
Re: Consequences of Retail Theft
It depends on how old you are. If you're a minor and it is your first offense you will most likely get community service and maybe even just a fine. If you are a minor then when you turn 18 your record will be clean.
