    Any Advice on Getting Emancipated?
My question involves emancipation laws for the State of: Nevada

I'm fully aware that I may not be able to get emancipated, however, I do wish to try. I'm not physically abused, but I do feel that I'm emotionally abused. In my opinion, emotional abuse has a longer lasting affect. For the last two years my relationship with my mother has been going nowhere but downhill. I will admit that I am rebellious. But should I honestly put up with the yelling, screaming, name-calling, and insults? I have clinical depression and it surprises me that my mother hasn't helped me deal with it at all. She's actually making it harder to deal with. I know, I sound like a baby. I'm sorry. I just don't know what to do. I'm 16, I have a boyfriend who's 18, but I'm not going to be depending on him at all whatsoever. But is it possible for me to get emancipated if I can provide for myself, but live with roommates and not on my own? I have a job that pays minimum wage, about 6.50 an hour, but I'm planning to get another. Will this be enough? Sorry this is so long. I'd really appreciate it if you could help me out. Thanks.

    No.

In order to even think about applying for judicial emancipation, you need to already be living on your own (with the consent of your parents!), doing well in school, and financially supporting yourself 100%.

100%. No roommates, no welfare, no food stamps, no help from anyone but yourself.

Additionally, you need to present a compelling reason as to why you should be emancipated. "My homelife sucks" is not sufficient. Emancipation is reserved for minors thrown into extraordinary circumstances who NEED to be emancipated. By way of example, if both of your parents died in a crash and you didn't have anyone else to take care of you and you were already pretty much handling the household, but needed emancipation to legally assume the mortgage?

THAT would be a reason for emancipation.

If you are being abused you need to call CPS.

All right. I see all your points. If anything I'll hopefully find another way of dealing with things. I'm just another two years won't be pushing it. Thank you so much.
