Using Brand Names In An Online Game
My question involves business law in the state of: Well, the whole world. Not particulary a state only. First of all I hope this is in the right section. Didn't see one for internet realted stuff. I'm making a free online game. It has a page that lists cars (acura, honda, etc) I was wondering if I have to get permission to use the manufacture's brand name, or if I can just put it there leagally. Meaning they can't do anything if I don't ask first. For instance, could I put Honda cars into my game without asking Honda First?

    Thanks, Unknown.

    No.

It infringes on their trademark and opens you up for a very rude letter demanding you explain yourself in court and pay the trademark holder a lot of money.

    Don't.
