What To Do When Child Support Does Not Come
My question involves child support in the State of: California

I have received my child support thru wage assignment for about 4 years now with few problems.
I got a raise in support about 6 weeks ago. The employer (METRO) received the wage assignment on April 23 and should have implemented it within 10 days they did not then I was told they have 30 days. So 30 days came and went and I called Child Support and they had forgotten to add the Medical Arrears, so they gave the employer another 30 days, and in the meantime I do not get my raise in support. I get the regular. I called the other day and asked about the status again and the employer had called and said they would do it within 10 days, and now instead of seeing the increase I got zero. Nothing at all this time.
I know i have to call Child Support and then they will give them 30 days to comply again and in the mean time I dont get this money back, it goes into arrears that I have not ever seen. Because he cannot afford to pay them, and I believe does not file his taxes.
At this point is there anything I can do? Or everytime I call CS just let them tell me the employer has another 30 days. They told me the last time that its hard for the employer because the wage assignment paperwork is 15 pages long But how is that my fault? Its Metro's fault for ignoring it or not reading it properly.

    Please help.
    Thank You

Mistakes happen, and unfortunately from what you say the mistakes causing delay were made by the state and not by your spouse or the employer. I hope they get it resolved soon.

No it is the employer messing up on reading the wage assignment. Maybe I was not clear in my explanation.
