Getting Adopted By A Boyfriend's Parent

My question involves adoption law for the State of: New Mexico

Im 14 and i have a horrible home life. I have ran away before and im looking for options. I was planning on getting emancipated once i turn 16 but i dont know if i could even last 2 more years. My family is cought up on drugs, my mom is in an abusive relationship now trying to file for a divorce. She had chosen him over me after he beat her sending her to the hospital getting stiches. She is unstable and living off disability. Now shes planning on making me move to texas because the guy shes with got a job offer. What can i do. I dont have any family i can go to and if anything i would get adopted by my boyfriends parent. Please help.

You need to report the abuse and neglect to CPS. Do you have any trusted adults that you can help you report? Maybe one of your friend's parents, or a trusted neighbor?

You will have to move where ever your mother moves, unless CPS is involved, so be sure to report ASAP.

No judge in any jurisdiction will emancipate you to live with your boyfriend.

If you get adopted by his family, you will no longer allowed to date (you will be brother and sister). Not to mention that you cannot force your mother to allow you to be adopted.

If you are being abused, call child protective services.

However, being told you have to move and that you and mommy fight doesn't even begin to approach abuse.

She mentioned mom's abuse but none against herself.
