Evicting Son In-Law And Daughter In California
My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: California
My daughter needed a place to live while finishing a training school, and I agreed. Son-in-law came too. He does not have a job, spends hours on computer. He has done nothing except litter my home for this period (less than 6 months). They verbally said they would take care of certain bills, but they have not paid for anything. They also have dogs that they do not take out...and you can imagine what I have found when I came home.
My daughter is graduating, and I want him out. I hate the idea that she is my daughter, but I gave her a steady place so she could finish, and I can't stand what they've done to my home. How can I get this started? There is no contract, no money has been paid (or any other service), and the agreement was only verbal. Do I have to go through a notice? How would I word it?
My house is being distroyed. And I see no end in sight.

Obviously, the first step should be a sit down with your daughter, explaining that she is graduating, and it's time for her and her husband to find a new place. Now.
If she balks, you'll have to get the law involved.
You'll want to start with a 30 day notice, and follow it up with formal proceedings if need be.
