Shoplifting Not Charged

I am currently lived in UK.
I was caught shoplifting in UK. It's my first time.The police was called and they took my detail. I didn't sign anything and didn't admit it because i am still in the shopping area, didn't pass the checkout point. And I do want to pay.

I am not arrested but the police said they will report it to the court and they did.

two weeks later I received a letter from court. It said the evidence is enough to justify the judger to bring me to court. But they decide not to take such proceedings. And said if anything similar happen again, they may not refrain from charging me.

I was wondering if anything will show on my back ground check? If yes, what kind of thing will show?

I suspect that since this is a US based forum and it mainly deals with US law, no one here can give you an answer.

My suggestion would be that you try and have a background check on yourself and see what you find.

However, in the US background checks vary and while some may find information others may not.
