    Landlord Didn't Sign Lease
    Hello all,

I am having a issure with a lease and i need all the help i can. i recently moved out of my apt (in michigan) that i shared with 3 other girls. i could not live there anymore bc of personal reasons & the fact we could not get along. Anyways, as of right now i am still stuck paying my part of the lease because they wont pay it and all 4 of our names our on the lease. However, this is where it become tricky. I assume that in order for a lease to be valid, all of our signatures and the sig of our landlord would have to be on it. Some people have said he doesn't need to sign it, but there is a line on the lease FOR him to sign, which he didn't. So, does this technically make the lease invalid b/c of his lack of signature? I can't figure it out and i've been looking everywhere. Anything will help! thanks! :!:

    Lease Not Signed By Landlord
Unfortunately, given what you have described, that does not appear to be a valid defense.

    Moving out of Leased Unit
If you have leased a unit, you are bound by the lease even if you choose not to live in or use the leased premises. Absent a valid defense, you would be on the hook for rent even if you lived elsewhere.
